Discovering the Gold Coast Dolphins: Current knowledge & how you can get involved

Would you like to learn about the dolphins of the Gold Coast and how you can help monitor this population?

The community are invited to attend an upcoming presentation by Dr Liz Hawkins, on ‘Discovering the Gold Coast Dolphins’. Dr Hawkins is the CEO and Founding Director of Dolphin Research Australia who has been leading the team to uncover some of the mysteries of Gold Coast’s resident dolphins. How many dolphins live in the region, who are they and how healthy are they? These are just some of the questions the research team have been delving into since 2019 when the program commenced.

Come along to this evening event to learn about the latest research findings and how you can help become a citizen scientist and help monitor the local dolphins.

Where: Sea World Conference Centre, Ocean Room, Southport, Gold Coast

The event will include a presentation by Dr Liz Hawkins (7:00pm – 8:00pm) with lots of time for questions. We will also have the Dolphin Research Australia fundraising stall with all sorts of ecofriendly goodies and merchandise available.
