Description
The majestic humpback whale captures the intrigue of many as it migrates along the coastlines of Eastern and Western Australia. As the male humpback whales sing they often float stationary in the water column with their heads down, tail up to call to all those in the distance. The function of the song remains unknown, but it is thought to be for mate-attraction and territoriality. This artwork is inspired by the beauty of the singing humpback whale.
