Sperm whales are sentinel beings of our oceans. They are found in every ocean and live in structured societies that are sexually segregated. Females invest years in caring for their young. At times enlist the assistance of babysitters in their clan to care for their young while they forage or rest. The vulnerability and strong bonds between mothers and calves inspired this artwork.
These blank greeting cards are made from recycled card and feature original artwork in ink and water colour by Liz Hawkins. The reverse side of the card offers an informative description about sperm whales.
