She is one of the resident female dolphins that inhabit the coastal waters of Byron Bay, New South Wales. She is regularly seen resting, feeding and socialising around Cape Byron and Wategos Beach. Sonic is very closely bonded with Cousin (ID # 282), Feather (ID # 284) and Aunty Dallas (ID # 489). She is also one of the local surfers. Once the swells up, Sonic and other dolphins from her community can be found surfing and leaping from the waves. a feast of kingfish too!
