By attending the Dolphin Watch Citizen Science Field Training Workshops you will learn how to identify different kinds of dolphin species in their area, how to record and interpret dolphin behaviours and how to apply our survey protocols. By attending our field training you will also be able to conduct your own Dolphin Watch Citizen Science land-based surveys from one of our approved locations. Of course you’ll also still be able to report an opportunistic dolphin sighting!
Further details on how to report a sighting and important information will also be provided during the field training workshop.
As part of the field training, you’ll also participate in a land-based survey and apply our Dolphin Watch Citizen Science protocols.
Each workshop will be presented by Dolphin Research Australia researchers and qualified education staff.
By attending one of our Dolphin Watch Citizen Science Field Training Workshops, you will receive:
- Learn our Dolphin Watch Citizen Science survey protocols
- All participants will receive a special Dolphin Watch gift by attending our upcoming Gold Coast workshops
- Access to our Dolphin Watch Citizen Science Program protocols and resources
- Opportunity to carry out your own Dolphin Watch field surveys.
