Dive In School Holiday Education Program
Our Dolphin Research Australia School Holiday Marine Education Programs for younger ages are based on learning, experiencing and connecting with dolphins and the marine environment. Through fun integrated activities, children will learn about the lives of dolphins and their plight for survival. Our programs empower both young and old to help to protect dolphins and their environment from the growing number of threats they face.
Our team of professional marine educators and volunteers facilitate each program and guides the participants through fun and informative activities.
Program Description
During the program, children (and adults alike) learn about the world of dolphins and the oceans through talks, an art and craft session and a beach clean-up (weather permitting & selected programs only). Over the 2hr session, the children learn all sorts of exciting facts as well as how they can help to conserve the home of dolphins and the oceans and actually participate in helping to clean up our beaches.
Our holiday sessions invite the children to connect with the oceans, dolphins and all sea creatures. We will share our knowledge about dolphins and their environment and also find out how much we have in common with them and how we can help conserve them – in a creative and experiential way through dance and movement, guided meditation, and art and craft.

What to Bring
We supply all equipment for activities but we do ask you bring along a snack, water, hat, sunscreen and shoes for your child (and yourself if you would like to stay).
We do encourage parents and guardians to join your child and participate in the program.
Costs
The Cost of Each Standard Program are as follows:
$30 per child
$5 for parents/guardians if you would like to participate in craft activities
We welcome and encourage parents and guardians to our school holiday sessions and you can also participate in the craft activity for only $5 extra to help us cover the cost of materials.
We ask you to donate these prices as it helps us to cover the resources and the hire of the venue for you and thank you in advance for your support.

Facilitator
This program will be held in Covid safe conditions. We will require each participant to follow Covid Safe instructions.
Cancellation Policy
Dolphin Research Australia realizes that most people who cancel their booking do so out of necessity. However, cancellations are costly to administer and involve time and resources of the organisation. Therefore, all cancellations after booking are subject to deductions to help us cover the organisations administrative expenses (which we do as volunteers).
In the event of a cancellation by the participant:
- Cancellation more than 48hrs prior to workshop will receive 100% refund.
- Cancellation of less than 48hrs prior to the workshop will not be refunded.
- There are no refunds after the starting date of the workshop. If the participant fails to join the program or leaves the program at any time, no refunds will be issued.
- If the program needs to be cancelled due to Covid-19 restrictions or any other reason by the organisation, a full refund will be issued.
*Please note in the unlikely circumstances where the program is cancelled by the organisation if the participant level is below the required number or natural disasters or other external events, you may choose between us applying the amounts paid toward an alternative date or workshop or receiving a full (100%) refund. In the circumstances where there are too few people for the workshop to go ahead, the organisation may request a change of dates or alternatively you will receive a 100% refund.
